"A Challenging Class For The More Advanced Dancers"

"Be Prepared To Step Up Your Game, Your Brain, Stretch Your Body And Improve Quickly"

No more dry clothes ever again! A side effect of my dance classes are completely drenched clothes. IF you like getting caught in the rain or sweating it out in the heat of the summer or cool of the winter, I'd love to see you. You may want to bring a change of clothes or towel (or not).

Another side effect is some cool moves and routines. But I know you're coming for the sweat!

Because I know that you know how to sweat already, I WILL NOT charge you any membership fees so you can have access to your body. You will be paying for the dance classes and only the dance classes!

If you're reading this page you can probably already dance quite a bit. So I won't be spending so much time on the basics in this class. I'll be teaching fast routines, high-tempo and high-energy. You'll sweat your ass off trying to keep up and push yourself to the limits of what you're capable of, the place where you'll make real progress.

So if you're looking for ways to improve your dancing 'BIG TIME' then you'll want to read this page very carefully.

Because in my dance classes I'll teach you the why, how and do-it-again and stretch you so you can't help but get better.

Welcome to the land of lockin'

Before breakdancing (bboyin'), there was poppin' and the robot, and before poppin' there was lockin'. It's the style that effectively started the whole street dance craze. And for good reason too!

How best to explain locking? Think some of Michael Jackson moves, some of Usher's moves, some of Janet Jackson's moves, throw in a few James Brown tricks and elements of Saturday Night Fever (yeah, you remember that movie?). Then take it back to a time when dancing was more about having a good time than competing, and dancing your troubles away with happy smiling faces. The result...you have locking!

Don't take yourself too seriously in this class, roll up your socks, paste on your smile, forget about time and start lockin it out!

What you'll learn:

How to do street lockin the original funky way, like the original LA Lockers, so you will be that funky guy or girl on the dancefloor.
The ideas and thought processes which originally inspired the LA Lockers. This way with some history you can learn what the dance is all about - something truly unique and a funky experience.
Different ways and variations of different moves. You'll better understand the underlying rhythms and techniques. You can do a move in different ways, all unique, and have a wide repertoire to call upon at your will.
Repetition is the mother of skill. You will repeat techniques until they are perfect - this will be achieved in a shorter time than you think!
A learning experience full of 'Aha' moments. Dance is a physical thing because you use your body. The key to learning effectively is when something 'clicks' in your body and you feel the difference. You will experience that funky sensation many times!
How you can change the direction and feeling of your dancing in an instant. How you can go from strong and direct, to downright funky, to playful and lighthearted as easily as clicking your fingers.
The power of breath to your dancing ability. You shouldn't be holding your breath while you dance. Instead, know how and when to breathe and you will take your dancing to another level!
Keeping your energy up when you dance. The simple things you learn that keep your energy up will alone attract more people to your dancing.
The importance of your dancing habits. Developing the right habits that will speed up your progress.
How your dancing is related to your state of mind. The most important thing to do and that all great dancers have in common.....extremely easy!
Ways to shed your inhibitions.....which will enable you to become a superior dancer and performer.
Learning how to be funky will be of great benefit when you learn other street styles as well. After all you will know how to do the dance (locking) which started the whole street dance craze!
